Homemade Baileys Recipe

Irish Cream In A Bottle April 15

I don’t know if you have noticed, but it seems like the price of Baileys Irish Cream has increased significantly. Have you ever thought about making Baileys at home? You won’t believe how easy it is! It’s much cheaper than buying a bottle from the store, and it tastes great too. It’s really simple. All you need is a blender and a few ingredients you most likely already have on hand.

The Recipe

Thank you, Elena from As Easy as Apple Pie for this (copycat) homemade Baileys Irish cream recipe. If you want to check out Elena’s site, there are many variations for this recipe and you can customize the way you create and enjoy your homemade creation. You can enjoy this Irish cream liqueur in a mixed drink, over the rocks, or in your coffee. This would also make a nice addition to your baked goods or for a special occasion. It’s also perfect for gift giving in decorative containers. After we enjoyed some drinks, I saved the rest for a cupcake recipe that I made on St. Paddy’s Day.

The Ingredients

Servings: 4 Cups

1 Cup Heavy Cream or Half & Half
1 14-Ounce Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
3 Tablespoons Chocolate Syrup
1 Teaspoon Instant Coffee Granules
1 Teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
1 2/3 Cup Irish Whiskey

Transfer to Glass Bottles

You can transfer the Baileys Irish Cream into sterilized glass bottles with tight-fitting lids and store in the refrigerator for up to two months or you can enjoy it right away. You can always make another batch if you run out. Shake well before use and enjoy!

About Laura G

Hi, I'm Laura G. A photographer, blogger and self-proclaimed food connoisseur.

As a child, I was exposed to a wide variety of foods. My mother had my siblings and me try foods at least once and if we didn't like what we tasted, we didn't have to eat it again. Luckily, I enjoyed almost everything that I tried. Unfortunately, in my adult years, I've been living with an autoimmune disease that has forced me to reevaluate my food choices. Even though I can no longer eat the foods I once enjoyed, many great alternatives have presented themselves. I believe we truly are what we eat and I look for the best food ingredients to fuel my body. I hope the recipes here on this food blog inspire you in your own food preparation endeavors.
